A Bit of Muslim History

This was posted by my friend Bob Hamilton.  It was so poignant that I feel compelled to share with my followers.

THOMAS JEFFERSON AND THE MUSLIM BARBARY PIRATES

When Thomas Jefferson saw there was no negotiating with Muslims, he formed what is now the Marines (sea going soldiers).  These Marines were attached to U. S. Merchant vessels. When the Muslims attacked U.S. merchant vessels they were repulsed by armed soldiers, but there is more.

The Marines followed the Muslims back to their villages and killed every man, woman, and child in the village.

It didn’t take long for the Muslims to leave U.S. Merchant vessels alone.

English and French merchant vessels started running up our flag when entering the Mediterranean to secure safe travel.

Why the Marine Hymn contains the verse, “To the Shores of Tripoli”.

This is very interesting and a must read piece of our history.  It points out where we may be heading.

Most Americans are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago the United States had declared war on Islam, and Thomas Jefferson led the charge!

At the height of the 18th century, Muslim pirates (the “Barbary Pirates”) were the terror of the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic.
They attacked every ship in sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms.  Those taken hostage were subjected to barbaric treatment and
wrote heart-breaking letters home, begging their governments and families to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded.

These extortionists of the high seas represented the North African Islamic nations of Tripoli, Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers – collectively referred to
as the Barbary Coast – and presented a dangerous and unprovoked threat to the new American Republic.
Before the Revolutionary War, U.S. merchant ships had been under the protection of Great Britain.  When the U.S. declared its independence and
entered into war, the ships of the United States were protected by France.

However, once the war was won, America had to protect its own fleets.

Thus, the birth of the U.S. Navy.  Beginning in 1784, 17 years before he would become president, Thomas Jefferson became America’s Minister to
France.  That same year, the U.S. Congress sought to appease its Muslim adversaries by following in the footsteps of European nations who paid
bribes to the Barbary States rather than engaging them in war.
In July of 1785, Algerian pirates captured American ships, and the Dye of Algiers demanded an unheard-of ransom of $60,000.  It was a plain and
simple case of extortion, and Thomas Jefferson was vehemently opposed to any further payments.

Instead, he proposed to Congress the formation of a coalition of allied nations who together could force the Islamic states into peace.

A disinterested Congress decided to pay the ransom.

In 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli’s ambassador to Great Britain to ask by what right his nation attacked American ships and enslaved American citizens, and why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
The two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam “was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran that all nations who would not acknowledge their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty
to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
Despite this stunning admission of premeditated violence on non-Muslim nations, as well as the objections of many notable American leaders,
including George Washington, who warned that caving in was both wrong and would only further embolden the enemy, for the following fifteen years the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages.

The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to over 20 percent of the United States government annual revenues in 1800.

Jefferson was disgusted.  Shortly after his being sworn in as the third President of the United States in 1801, the Pasha of Tripoli sent him a
note demanding the immediate payment of $225,000 plus $25,000 a year for every year forthcoming.

That changed everything.

Jefferson let the Pasha know, in no uncertain terms, what he could do with his demand.  The Pasha responded by cutting down the flagpole at the
American consulate and declared war on the United States.

Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers immediately followed suit.

Jefferson, until now, had been against America raising a naval force for anything beyond coastal defense, but, having watched his nation be cowed by Islamic thuggery for long enough, decided that it was finally time to meet force with force.

He dispatched a squadron of frigates to the Mediterranean and taught the Muslim nations of the Barbary Coast a lesson he hoped they would never
forget.  Congress authorized Jefferson to empower U.S. ships to seize all vessels and goods of the Pasha of Tripoli and to “cause to be done all
other acts of precaution or hostility as the state of war would justify”.
When Algiers and Tunis, who were both accustomed to American cowardice and acquiescence, saw the newly independent United States had both the will and the right to strike back, they quickly abandoned their allegiance to Tripoli.

The war with Tripoli lasted for four more years, and raged up again in 1815.  The bravery of the U.S. Marine Corps in these wars led to the line “to the shores of Tripoli” in the Marine Hymn, and they would forever be known as “leathernecks” for the leather collars of their uniforms, designed to prevent their heads from being cut off by the Muslim scimitars when boarding enemy ships.

Islam, and what its Barbary followers justified doing in the name of their prophet and their god, disturbed Jefferson quite deeply.

America had a tradition of religious tolerance. In fact Jefferson, himself, had co-authored the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, but
fundamentalist Islam was like no other religion the world had ever seen.

A religion based on supremacy, whose holy book not only condoned but mandated violence against unbelievers, was unacceptable to him.

His greatest fear was that someday this brand of Islam would return and pose an even greater threat to the United States. This should concern every American.  That Muslims have brought about women-only classes and swimming times at taxpayer-funded universities and public pools; that Christians, Jews, and Hindus have been banned from serving on juries where Muslim defendants are being judged; Piggy banks and Porky Pig tissue dispensers have been banned from workplaces because they offend Islamist sensibilities; ice cream has been discontinued at certain Burger King locations because the picture on the wrapper looks similar to the Arabic script for Allah; public schools are pulling pork from their menus; on and on and on and on..

It’s death by a thousand cuts, or inch-by-inch as some refer to it, and most Americans have no idea that this battle is being waged every day
across America.  By not fighting back, by allowing groups to obfuscate what is really happening, and not insisting that the Islamists adapt to
our culture, the United States is cutting its own throat with a politically correct knife, and helping to further the Islamists’ agenda.

Sadly, it appears that today America’s leaders would rather be politically correct than victorious!

If you have any doubts about the above information, Google “Thomas Jefferson vs. the Muslim World.”
Yes, this is all true. This will never stop. It is like tending a garden. It can be completely cleaned out and tilled but sooner or later the weeds will be back and will either over run and destroy the garden or all of the weeds need to be pulled out by the roots again. Then one day they will be back again.
Through the redistricting of Sikes-Pico they we’re smart enough to draw the new territories between the tribes to keep them fighting each other instead of them fighting elsewhere. It has worked really well for nearly 100 years. They have to kill in order to get to heaven so they have been killing each other over territory. They finally wised up and have formed together again and that is why they are out killing more of other people. This isn’t a new rash of violence, this is business as usual after a historically brief 100 year pause.

Why Vote Trump?

While I sit on the sidelines watching the circus that is the election cycle this year, I take stock in each candidate, their character, abilities, strengths, weakness, downsides, etc. Just like interviewing an applicant for a career position….itn’t that what were supposed to do?
So I see this in that light, asking those questions…….

WHY SHOULD I VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP?

1. Donald Trump is the only candidate who can turn things around for America and should be taken seriously!!!

2. Trump is immune to special interest lobbying because he has accepted no donations or special interest money. No other candidate can make this claim.

3. Trump is an executive. The President of the United States is the Chief Executive Officer of our nation. We don’t need a policy expert or a legislator – we need someone who knows how to run an organization. Mr. Trump is the only candidate who has a proven record as a successful executive on a large scale.

4. Trump is honest. Mr. Trump is a man who tells the truth. He may not always say it in the most polished or politically correct way, but our country has had enough suave liars. It is time for some straight forward honesty.

5. Trump is decisive. As President every decision he makes would be in the best interest of the country. We hear about his having business interests that filed for bankruptcy. In each case, he looked at the situation as it was, and then he cut his losses. We need someone who will look at government programs realistically and if they are failures; will end the wasteful Washington spending.

SUMMARY
Like him or not, agree with him or not,  Trump can make things happen. He is exactly what America needs at this point in time! Everybody should do their not, it doesn’t matter. So far Trump is the only candidate who has shown that he “can up-set the apple-cart homework on the candidates. We must not listen to the “political media”. They are not going to tell you the truth! They have a way of twisting words for their own story and agenda! There is an important choice that each voter has to make. Either you cast your vote for another “puppet candidate” and support business as usual in Washington again or support Donald Trump and HELP MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

An Online “Comments” Discussion

I long since ceased from posting my political opinions on my Facebook page for obvious reasons. I got tired of the hate and vitriolic comments inflicted by those that differ on the progressive/liberal side .
So perhaps in a “slip up” I put something out there today concerning the Trump protest. Somebody commented that it was the Dems causing havoc.

My friend Wayne weighed in and we ended up having a “debate” The following is a copy…..

Dano–
The GOPe just as guilty,; we are now
down to a “one party” with two heads….just look back over past seven years……….Power party…..

Wayne–
Please!! I’ve seen videos of completely silent protesters escorted out, punched for no reason, arrested or hand cuffed when they didn’t start anything but just standing there! Yes there have been instances of heckling , mostly met with violence on the part of “supporters! And listen to the rhetoric – the thought of paying legal fees for those in the crowd causing mayhem? I in no way condone or promote violence in protests, but how about free speech from any opposition!

Dano–

Yet there are no “trumpets” at Bernie or Killary rsllys causing disruptions….  Why?  If they were so vicious wouldn’t they return the favor?  It’s a different mindset.
No video tape of ANY Tea party rally members hitting anybody or shouting insults at other gatherings?   Got any videos of libertarians (like me) that blockade highways, shoot cops, throw rocks, burn cars, loot buildings?   Nope.  Only those voting for Killary or Bernie are out doing that…..
And they are regrettably just pawns in the ” bigger picture”.  NWO,  Agenda 21, etc. Funded and egged on by Soros, Gates Murdoch,  and the 1% that hold the strings playing puppeteer.
My perspective at be a bit different,  as I have cheated, I thumbed “forwsrd” and read the last chapter in the book.

Wayne–
Why? How about bullies gather in bunches and are afraid to be isolated, alone, standing up for what ever they think! No, they gather in crowds of like minded “people”?? that only have an almost religious fervor over their “leader and his policies”. Pretty sure you won’t find someone at a Bernie rally, no others to back them up!!

Dano–
The “why” is because they don’t need to go disrupt a “Bernie” rally to  get their message out….  The general message is the feelings of most of those patriotic working Americans that stand for constitutional law, moral values, small government, sensible regulations, and free market economy.  The things that made USA the powerhouse that effectively ended two world wars started by European countries, ended the strsightjacket of Marxist rule over most of eastern Europe. Are we perfect? By no means,  but compared to whom are we second fiddle?
Most all of Donaldson supporters just want that USA back.  Yes where he is because he’s playing to that sentiment in the nation. Are they being played like a $3 fiddle?  Well, only time will tell.  I guarantee we’ve been played for decades,  doubt if it will really end this year.

Wayne–
I can agree on the “played” part – by who and why – still TBD

Dano–

It”s really pretty easy to see,  goes back 100 years.   Know when the media became puppet of the “powers that be”?    1903, Reuters News service was purchased by Rothschilds banks……. Smoke on that for a minute….  Then get online and start reading some history that is NOT IN SCHOOL BOOK’S.  I have,  It’s enlightening.

We ended our discussion at that point.  We have had discussions in the past, and I have to give credit, Wayne is intelligent enough not to just start “yelling” progressive slogans and unproven dictums without any objectivity.
He has enough “snap” to realize that information is power,  and knowledge and wisdom are an anathema to dogma.

Cost of Illegal Immigrants in REAL LIFE

There is so much “yapping” and nashing of teeth today over the stance on illegals in our country.
Elements are in favor of just opening the gates (already done) and let anybody walk in, take free housing, food, medical, etc at taxpayer expense.  Obviously a ploy to
A: get cheap labor,
B:  create unsustainable loads on resources, bankrupting our nation
C: provide Democrats with a trove of new ignorant voters keeping them in power in perpetuity.

So far the only candidate talking about any solution that’s not just “bandaids” is Trump…no wonder he’s where he is in polls.

Check this article in Brietbart on the subject…..

The Double Dip by the Corporatocracy

My son and I are chatting on the phone tonite, and he says, “so what do ya think about the elections Pops?   My answer was a question, because I always incited him to think things out for himself , with guidance
.  I replied “Which do you want in your sleeping bag tonite, a copperhead or a rattlesnake?”. We laughed , knowing full well what I was alluding to.   The whole thing is big drama designed to give the illusion of “choices” to the basically ignorant masses.

It must be stated the Corporatocracy only wishes either a democrat or republican from their club be presented to the American people as candidate.  That the official-sounding Commission on Presidential Debates is not official at all. It is a private organization created by the Republican and Democratic Parties for the clear and admitted purpose of controlling the presidential debate process. Everything from the schedule to the participants to the water glasses on stage are determined by way of an MOU between the two parties, to the exclusion of everyone else.
“The American people need to understand that the presidential debates are televised productions of the Republican and Democratic Parties, nothing more. And those productions are designed to exclude alternative voices and ignore the simple fact that one-third of the electorate does not belong to their exclusive clubs.”
The problem in this era in the USA is that we have not been able to vote for a single candidate for office for decades that was not first vetted by the corporatocracy. This vetting of puppets starts at the local government level and continues to the highest of offices, the presidency. It does not matter who is elected. The voter in the street always loses now. The “elected” want to keep their better than the common man perks and privilege and will sup at the trough of the people with the blessing of their campaign financiers. These financiers keep the “elected” in an imperial state of being above the people and for the most part the law. Recent Supreme Court decisions will insure that this will only get worse. The naive “voters” are never voting on candidates. They are presented in this epoch with two previously vetted puppets to have election theater with in a grand marketing production that assures the same outcome every time. Our founding fathers created an almost perfect document. However, they could never have foreseen the impact of planetary size entities with enormous financial resources that can manipulate a body politic through marketing and make that body compliant with those entities designs and wishes. One step that should be taken would be to amend the constitution to make it a serious federal felony for any institution with more than 50 employees or multiple subsidiaries to have any contact with an elected public official in any way. Of course that would mean the over 50,000 highly paid lobbyists in Washington alone would have to find new employment and DC would fall from the highest per capita income city in the USA to something less impressive.

But if I were the “king”for a day, that’s exactly what I would implement.  Along with several other changes…..but that’s another article.   (still in outline format).  Keep an eye out for it here, “someday” I’ll finish and publish it.

A Little Irish History

This doesn’t play into the “agenda” of today’s rants about slavery and the generations of oppressive attitudes towards “former slaves”.  The progressives seem to commit this bit when they support “racial equality”, so typical.  Facts don’t matter, only ideologies.

A little history on this St. Patrick’s Day.

King James VI and Charles I  led a continued effort to enslave the Irish. Britain’s Oliver Cromwell furthered this practice of dehumanizing one’s next door neighbor.

The Irish slave trade began when James VI sold 30,000 Irish prisoners as slaves to the New World. His Proclamation of 1625 required Irish political prisoners be sent overseas and sold to English settlers in the West Indies.

By the mid 1600s, the Irish were the main slaves sold to Antigua and Montserrat. At that time, 70% of the total population of Montserrat were Irish slaves.

Ireland quickly became the biggest source of human livestock for English merchants. The majority of the early slaves to the New World were actually white.
